Brew your own probiotic and healthy Kombucha drink

Kombucha Scoby Mother approximately diameter 3" and 1/2" thick.
Perfectly fits 1 quart jar, or can be placed in a larger jar and it will grow
bigger, covering the surface of the tea. Very healthy, cultured only in filtered/distilled
water with organic tea and sugar/ organic coconut sugar. You will also get
instructions on how to start and take care of your own Kombucha.

It is very easy and fun to have and obviously will save you a lot of money if
you buy this drink in a store.

Kombucha is a popular health promoting beverage and natural folk remedy made by
fermenting sweat tea.  The Kombucha
culture looks like a white rubbery pancake.

It is a pleasant tasting sparkling healthy drink. Unlike popular carbonated
beverages that rob the body of calcium, the natural sparkling effect of
kombucha Tea is not detrimental to the body. Most commercial cool drinks are
very high in sugar. The fermentation process of Kombucha leaves it virtually
sugar free. The sugar and tea with the help of the Kombucha culture are
transformed to valuable acids.

The culture is placed in tea with sugar and turns the tea into health giving
acids and nutrients. Black tea is a popular choice, but green tea, white tea
and yerba mate may also be used. Herbal teas or those treated with oils may
harm the kombucha culture over time. The Kombucha culture feeds on the sugar
and, in exchange, produces other valuable substances which change into the drink.

The Kombucha reproduces another culture every brew, so once you acquire your
kombucha culture there is no need to buy or purchase another Kombucha culture;
you can then pass it on to your friends as a great gift idea.

Few notes to remember while caring for kombucha:

Do not use chlorinated water to
make tea for kombucha or if you need to rinse your scoby. The chlorine will
kill the microorganisms in it.

Do not use metal utensils when
handling the kombucha scoby, as this can adversely affect the microorganisms'
health. Use only plastic or wooden utensils.

• Cover your brewing jar with the cheesecloth, coffee filter, paper towel and
secure with rubber band. It needs air to breathe but you also want to keep
fruit flies out.

One of kombucha’s greatest health benefits is its ability to
detox the body. It is rich in many
of the enzymes your body produces
and/or uses to detox your system, thus reducing your pancreatic load and easing
the burden on your liver. Kombucha is very high in Glucaric acid.

Because it’s naturally fermented with a living SCOBY (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast), Kombucha is a probiotic beverage. This has a myriad
of benefits such as improved digestion, fighting candida (harmful yeast)
overgrowth, mental clarity, and mood stability. As such, it’s noted for
reducing or eliminating the symptoms of fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, etc.

Kombucha is extraordinarily anti-oxidant
rich
, and you all know the benefits of anti-oxidants for boosting your
immune system and energy levels.

Kombucha contains glucosamines, a
strong preventive for all forms of arthritis. Glucosamines increase synovial hyaluronic acid production. Hyaluronic
acid functions physiologically to aid preservation of cartilage structure and
prevent arthritic pain, with relief comparable to NSAIDs and advantage over
glucocorticoids. Hyaluronic acid enables connective tissue to bind moisture
thousands of times its weight and maintains tissue structure, moisture,
lubrication and flexibility and lessens free radical damage, while associated
collagen retards and reduces wrinkles.
